HP delivers new HP PageWide C500 Press to Carmel-Frenkel

HP Inc announced the first delivery of an HP PageWide C500 Press for digital mainstream corrugated direct-to-board printing to a customer site, as HP continues to expand its portfolio of innovative package printing solutions.

Carmel Frenkel will serve as the customer testing site for the HP PageWide C500 Press, now moving a step closer toward commercialization. The Caesarea, Israel-based converter supplies packaging solutions for leading brands, including in the food and beverage industry.

DS Smith is investing again in digital printing technology

For the British DS Smith Group, the issue of digital printing is of strategic importance, enabling its customers to continue to maximize their value creation and market growth in the future. As a pilot customer to HP, DS Smith was the first packaging company to digitally print corrugated board. As a result, even medium and long runs can now be produced economically and economically. The first HP Pagewide T1100S was implemented in the UK. Now the company is investing again. In the Germany HP is installing the second HP T1100S machine at DS Smith.

Acme Corrugated Box smashes production record on BOBST flexo folder gluer

On June 24, 2017, Acme’s production crew achieved throughput of 186,439 boxes in an eight hour shift on a BOBST FFG 8.20 EXPERTLINE. According to President Bob Cohen, “We averaged about 23,350 pieces per hour for the shift on a machine whose rated speed is 24,000 pieces per hour! We were running at up to 98% of capacity, which is almost unheard of. With most machines that produce corrugated, if you run at 50 percent of the rated machine speed you’re usually pretty happy.

Liner invests in Celmacch' technology

Liner, Italy’s leading company in pizza box production, has recently invested on Celmacch’s 4-color Chroma Evo 1700 x 1300mm. This investment was made due to the growing demand of pizza boxes which are becoming a marketing tool. 

The machine offers ultimate generation Siemens direct-engine technology, and the bottom printing HBL configuration powers an Eterna flatbed die cutter. The machine can reach speeds of up to 9000 sheets per hour.

Sun Automation Group Introduces Spectrum Print Unit for Inside Printing

SUN Automation Group, a global leader in the corrugated industry, has recently announced the release of their Spectrum Print Unit for Inside Printing. This allows customers to print on both sides of a corrugated boxes in a single pass. This allows for custom messaging and branding on the inside of the box.

Europac collaborates with Celmacch for high-definition flexographic printer

Europac has recently planned a multi million investment for its site in Dueñas through both a paper mill and plant for converting currogated board. The investment will increase production capacity by 32%. 

In April 2017, Celmacch installed a Chroma High Tech 1700 printer HBL, equipped with 6 colours and various optional features. It guarantees high performance and precision thank to the Siemens servo motor. It’s also equipped with carbon chambered doctor blade and automatic wash-up system controlled by a PLC.
