Europac collaborates with Celmacch for high-definition flexographic printer

Europac has recently planned a multi million investment for its site in Dueñas through both a paper mill and plant for converting currogated board. The investment will increase production capacity by 32%. 

In April 2017, Celmacch installed a Chroma High Tech 1700 printer HBL, equipped with 6 colours and various optional features. It guarantees high performance and precision thank to the Siemens servo motor. It’s also equipped with carbon chambered doctor blade and automatic wash-up system controlled by a PLC.

International Paper acquiring Europac’s facility in Morocco

International Paper has signed a contract to buy Europac's Tangier box plant for €40m. IP said it had obtained all relevant approvals by Moroccan authorities, including antitrust approval. Closing of the transaction is expected for the end of June.

The Tangier facility which will become part of International Paper’s Moroccan corrugated packaging business will be integrated with IP’s recently acquired mill in Madrid, Spain and its existing recycled containerboard mill in Kenitra, Morocco.

EUROPAC ACQUIRES TRANSCON

​Europac Group (Papeles y Cartones de Europa S.A.) has acquired, in Valladolid, the waste management company Transcon Valladolid, S.A. With this acquisition, which amounts to 3.7 million euros and represents multiple post synergistic gains of 5.3 times EBITDA, the company strengthens its position as a comprehensive provider of waste management services of reference in Castile and León.

EUROPAC GROUP INCREASES ITS NET PROFIT BY 10%

​The Board of Directors of Europac Group (Papeles y Cartones de Europa S.A.) has approved the results for the first quarter of 2017, which record net profit of 11 million euros, 9.5% up on the same period last year. In this regard, there was a noteworthy fall in finance costs, 45% down on last year, as a result of the lower debt volume and the novation of the syndicated loan signed last December.

Europac purchase a packaging plant in Lucena

The Europac Group purchased two companies that own a comprehensive packaging plant Lucena. The operation cost 9.8 million euros. A ten-million euro investment plan will gradually be implemented by Europac in order to expand its facilities. At the moment, the plant has one corrugator and three converters to turn cardboard into boxes, in a 15,000m2 warehouse, within a 42,000m2 plot of land. José Miguel Isidro, executive chairman of Europac, states that the purchase of the Lucena plant will result in growing markets in Spain.
